Sneek Peek From 2013 Holiday Catalog

So it has been quite awhile since I have posted! Lost of craziness going on in my life over the past two years. We have a new addition to our family so my hands have been full. I was just able to go to our annual convention in Salt Lake City Utah! What a blast! It was the 25th Annversary celebration for Stampin' Up! I have so many ideas running around in my head that I have to share!

At Convention I was asked to be a guest designer for Sisters In Stamping! Exciting right!!! My upline's upline is one of the contributers to this fabulous blog! They asked me to present something from the new up coming Holiday Catalog! So here is my creation....

I used the poinsettia stamped in the gold encore pad from the brand new set called Joyful Christmas (which I got for free at Convention!). My color combo is cherry cobbler and old olive. I also used the brand new Season of Style Designer Washi Tape and the Season of Style Designer Journaling Tags ( won both of these at Convention too!!!). These items can be found in our new Holiday Catalog available starting August 1st!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

Thank You Flowers

Wow this has been a crazy week! I have been making lots of fun things that I can not wait to share with you!

This is a thank you card for a friend of mine. It remind me of spring! Hurry Spring!!!  The sketch is from Splitcoast Stampers Sketch  challenge SC265. I used sets Vintage Labels and Happy Moments from the new Sale-a-bration catalog. The card stock I used was kraft, pretty in pink, certainly celery, barely banana, and whisper white. I ran the certainly celery background through the Big Shot using the SU exclusive texture plate. I added two silver brads to the top corner. Then I created the sparkly dots by stamping the stamp with versamark, then applying heat and stick powder. I used the heating tool to heat it up. I then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds on top. Then on to the focal point of the card..... I stamped the flowers with Basic Black classic ink. I used pretty in pink, barely banana, and certainly celery markers for the flowers and the saying. To create the saying I used the large oval punch, the modern label punch, and the word window punch. I used the 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamonds around the edge of the saying to add some flare. I also added a strip of pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

Monkey Birthday

I had so much fun last night stamping with friends! Lots of giggling and some great fellowship! Here is a card I created last night for a little boy who just turned 2! I used this week sketch challenge from Clean & Simple Stamping - Fall-to Layout 79 as a starting point. This was a quick layout! Very fun to use!

I used the stamp sets Fox & Friends from the Occasions Mini, Happy Moments from the Sale-a-bration catalog, and Short & Sweet. I stamped the images in chocolate chip classic ink. I used kraft, whisper white, and bermuda bay card stock. The dsp is called Welcome Neighbors from the Sale-a-bration catalog. I also used the corner rounder punch on several of the corners. The present the monkey is holding is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

Butterflies and a Double Challenge

I decided to take on two challenges today! I combined this weeks Color Combo Challenge CC258 and Sketch Challenge SC268 over at Splitcoast Stampers.

Here is what I came up with! The colors for the challenge were Perfect Plum, Pale Plum, and Soft Suede. I also added Whisper White as my neutral. I used the Pocket Silhouettes and the Short & Sweet stamp sets. For ink, I used Perfect Plum and Soft Suede. I also ran the Pale Plum layer through the Big Shot using the SU exclusive Texture Background swirl plate. The butterflies are made with the SU's exclusive embosslits Beautiful Wings using the Big Shot. I popped the largest butterfly with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added yummy Dazzling Diamonds with my 2-way Glue Pen to the butterflies and the flowers for a fun touch.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

Hit the Road

I am so sad this set is retired. I really love this set. So I thought I would share this with you anyway. I stamped the image from Hit the Road and saying from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Stazon Black on to whisper white card stock. The image is colored with SU's wonderful watercolor pencils and the aqua painter. I used the word window and modern label punches for the saying. The paper I used was going gray, whisper white, basic black, and a sheet from a retired Patterns Pack Designer Series Paper. I used the exclusive SU Top Note die with the Big Shot to create the background. I also used the Corner Rounder punch on the top two layers.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you have a very creative day!!!

Happy Valentine's Day

Ten years ago today my husband asked me to marry him! I can not believe it! We live in the mountains and he loves to go off-roading...so that is what he wanted to do in the morning. We stopped by this very large, very tall rock. He told me that he wanted to climb it. So we start walking up it. Then we came up to a latter that takes you to the very top.  As he helped me up the latter I still had NO idea what he was about to do. Once up on top of this very large rock the view was amazing.  I was enjoying it,  taking it in when all at once he got down on one knee and asked me those wonderful words. He also said, and I quote, "I wanted to give you a rock on top of a rock." It was very sweet. Later that evening we went to a very nice dinner. It is a day I will always remember. So this card is for him!

I used the sets Friends 24-7 and Short & Sweet. I used kraft, very vanilla, chocolate chip, and pink pirouette card stock. The ink used was chocolate chip classic ink. I stamped the flourish then attached the crumbled 1 1/4 circle  with a pretty in pink Sending Love Epoxy brad. I also attached the aged tag with the sentiment. I used the eyelet border punch to create the lace. I used the stamp pad  and my nail to age the edges of the card. I also used the color spritzer tool with a chocolate chip marker to help age the paper too.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

Double Hearts

So my sister-in-law is back home today! We all really miss her and her kids! She is such an inspiration! We had so much fun stamping together!

As for the rest of the day, I decided to take part in a challenge. Some of my ladies from my Stampin' Up! Demonstrators group decide to do the Clean and Simple Stamping's challenge, Fall-to Layout 78. This is what I came up with!

I new that I wanted to incorporate hearts in this one. I started with the Heart punch and paper from the Designer Series Paper Pad called Welcome Neighbor in the new Sale-a-bration catalog. I worked the rest of the card around the colors of the DSP. The card stock I used is kraft, chocolate chip, whisper white, and pretty in pink. The hearts were popped up the Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes stamped in melon mambo classic ink. The ribbon is the other side of the melon mambo polka dot ribbon. The glitter background was created  using the French Filigree background stamp, versamark, heat and stick powder, heating tool, and dazzling diamonds. I used the corner rounder punch for the two corners.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!
