Winged Friends

I just love this image!! It is from the Hostess set called Serene Spring. The saying is from the same set. The butterfly in the background is from Dreams du Jour. I used whisper white, soft sky (retired), and kraft. I used Stazon black for the image and the saying. I used close to cocoa for the butterfly in the background. To color in the image I used my blender pen along with soft sky, pretty in pink, close to cocoa, and wild wasabi (retired). I used a real red marker for the ladybug. I used my 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamonds on the butterfly and then popped it up with stampin' dimensionals. I used the white gel pen for the center of the flowers. To finish off the main image I used my ticket corner punch and two silver brads. I then used the scallop edge punch for the edge of the card.

Color Challenge

Here is my entry for Kristina Werner's color challenge! The colors this time were Close to Cocoa, Elegant Eggplant, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, and Whisper White. I love the picture she took for this one! Great color combo too!

I used all of the colors in card stock. I used the D'Vine Swirls Cuttlebug embossing folder for the elegant eggplant layer. I used the scallop edge punch for the close to cocoa trim. I stamped the "Hi" from Say It With Scallops stamp set in Pumpkin Pie classic ink. I punched the image out with the scallop square punch. I mounted it and the strip underneath with stampin' dimensionals. I am not sure where the ribbon is from. I got it from my mother-in-law and it was just so perfect for the color combo that I had to use it!!!

Gift Card Holder Swap and Tutorial

Recently I took part in a gift card holder swap with my group of Stampin' Up ladies called The Little Debbies!!! Here is what I created! To open the card, the ribbon slides off.

This is a quick and easy way to jazz up a gift card for that someone special! To make this gift card you start with a 4 x 11 inch sheet of card stock. You then score the paper at 3, 5 1/2 and 8 inches. You then fold it into a "W" shape. You then punch out a slot in the folded middle section large enough for a gift card or cash with any punch you like. Then you glue or tape that middle section together. But make sure that the adhesive you use is right at the edge of the card stock. This is where the card goes and you want to make sure you have enough room for it. I found that sticky tape worked the best for me. The rest is up to you!

The stamp sets I used were Cute & Curly and Priceless. I used kraft, whisper white, pink pirouette, and baja breeze card stock. I used Versamark and baja breeze ink. I used the curly label punch for the main tag. Then I used the boho blossom punch and a silver brad for the flower in the tag. I attached it to the ribbon with sticky tape. I tied the Baja Breeze Striped grosgrain ribbon with linen thread. For the inside I used my word window punch and the 1 3/8 circle punch. I added whisper white card stock stamped in baja breeze.

A Pink Pirouette Birthday

I created this birthday card using Beate's @ Fresh and Fun Weekend Sketch Challenge #66 and Splitcoast's Color Challenge CC188. The colors are Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, and Whisper White.
I just love this color combo!

The cake is from Fun & Fast Notes and the saying is from the retired set It's Your Birthday. I use pink pirouette, basic black, and whisper white card stock. I also used the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper. I used back black ink for the cake image and the saying. I colored the cake in with my blender pen and a pink pirouette ink refill, a barely banana marker. The plate is colored in with a blender pen and basic black ink. I used 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds on the cake. After I layered the cake onto the black, I used dimensionals to make that element pop. To create the two flowers, I used a punch from Target, another larger flower punch. Then I added a pink rhinestones from Kaiser Scrapbook to each flower.

Olive You Always

I made this card for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #30. I loved these colors!!! The colors were Old Olive, Certainly Celery, Sahara Sand, and Whisper White. If you go to her site you can see all of the entries! Everyone did such a wonderful job!!

I used the heart from the Always set and stamped it twice in Old Olive on to Whisper White. I cut one of the hearts out and mounted in with stampin dimensionals. I layered that on to Certain Celery and then Old Olive. I also used the scallop edge punch on the Old Olive layer. Then I glued that on to the Sahara Sand card base. I tied a ribbon of Whisper White Taffeta ribbon.
So what do you think?
My sister-in-law did the challenge too! Check out her site @ The Daily Ink.

Easy Bag Topper

These are a few quick bag toppers I made for my Etsy shop. They are super easy and dress up any little gift or package. I used very vanilla card stock. I used the hostess set called Organic Grace. The ink I used was Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette, Perfect Plum, and Chocolate Chip. I also used the color spritzer and a chocolate chip marker. I used the scallop edge punch for the edge. To get it to the right size, I measured the bag's width that then I measured length of how far down I wanted to label to go. I then just stapled the topper to my bag. It is only one layer, but it adds a fun touch!

Bella Toile and Buttons

I made this card for my mother-in-law for her birthday. But this card can be for any occasion! The stamp sets I used were Bella Toile and Cute and Curly. I used whisper white and ruby red card stock. Then I used just ruby red ink. I used buttons from the earth elements button collection. The ribbon is 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain. I also used the corner rounder punch and the curly label punch. I also used stampin' dimensionals to raise the layers of the curly label punch. First I stamped the Bella Toile stamp with ruby red on to the whisper white card stock. I rounded the corners and rubbed the edges and the front of the paper on to the ink pad. I layered this onto ruby red cs. I used the Curly label punch and the cute and curly set to create the focal element. I added ribbon and buttons as well.

Scallop Thank You

I love the colors of this challenge! But combining them was a definitely a challenge! The color challenge came from Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #29. The colors were Pacific Point, Taken with Teal, Pumpkin Pie, Elegant Eggplant, and Whisper White. I used the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set. I used all of the colors for the card stock. I also used Pacific Point classic ink. I used the scallop circle punch, word window punch, slot punch, and 1 3/8 circle punch. I knotted the white taffeta ribbon for the corner. I also used purple brads that matched the Elegant Eggplant. The brads are from Making Memories. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to raise up the circle and the scallop circle. And also to raise up the Taken with Teal panel.

A Cowboy and his Horse

I made this card for a Guy Card Swap with my Little Debbie's Stampin' Up! ladies over on the East coast! Guy cards are always hard for me, so I thought this swap would be a fantastic challenge.
I started with the Bronc Buster set. I knew that I wanted to use red riding hood, baja breeze, and Close to Cocoa. Then I threw in the neutral of whisper white. I stamped the horse and cowboy in Close to Cocoa craft ink and heat embossed the image with clear embossing powder. I glued on the lasso made from linen thread with the 2-way glue pen. I used the ticket corner punch and added silver brads to the corners. I layered my card stock, attached it to my base, and then stamped the horse shoe image in close to Cocoa classic ink.

B is For....

Bella! This is a card I made for my little niece, Bella! I used the Always, Wild West Alphabet, Cute & Curly, and Baroque Motifs sets from Stampin' Up! to create this card. I used pink pirouette, baja breeze, and whisper white card stock. For ink, I used just Baja Breeze. I stamped the bird from Always and then used the perforating tool from the Cutter kit to create a decorative edge. I used the ticket corner punch on the pink pirouette. Then layered the two images. I also used the ticket corner punch on the baja breeze that I stamped with swirls from Baroque Motifs. I also used the top note die and cut it in half, then placed it at the top and bottom of the main image. Then to create the B for my niece, whose name is Bella, I used the Cute and Curly stamp set, the Wild West Alphabet set, and the Curly Label punch, along with stampin' dimensionals. I also used the felt flowers from the Flowers Fusion Too set and a silver brad. And that was it.
