Fun Blossom

I was searching on Splitcoaststampers and ran across this fantastic color combo... soft sky, blue bayou, whisper white, and real red! So I promptly saved this combo in my Q on SUColorQ! I decided to use this color combo on today's Sketch Challenge (sc165)on Splitcoast. Then after searching a bit more I found out that this combo was a previous Color Combination challenge (CC150). So off I went to create something fun...

All products are from Stampin' Up! except for the red brads which are from Joann's. I used the flower stamp from the Office Accoutrement set. This is a great image! I stamped it in real red and then in blue bayou. I cut out both. Then along with two flowers I punched out with my Blossoms punch I attached them all together with a silver brad. If you look really close at the brad you can see that I added some dazzling diamonds with my 2-way glue pen. For the paper I used soft sky and blue bayou prints dsp and real red cs. Oh yeah, and whisper white cs too! I added the 5/8" grosgrain ribbon in real red. Last element I added was the red brads with my mat pack and paper piercing tool to get them positioned just right! I also used the same tools to create the stitched photo corner!

Oh and did you know that you have to condition your stamps to get a good solid image! I just found that out! I conditioned the flower before I stamped it, because it was the first time I had used it, and I am pleased with how the image came out! I used Stazon cleaner to condition it!

Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Window Challenge!

This was a fun card to create, but it was a bit of a challenge! The challenge was the Ways to Use It challenge (WT154) from Splitcoaststampers. I have not made a card that had a window in it before. I wanted to make a masculine birthday card (although it really can be for anyone), but it was hard to find an image to go along with my theme and the challenge. I finally decided on the cake from the Sale-A-Bration set, Birthday Whimsy. But I really did not have a way to make a decent looking window on the front of the card that was the size I needed. Then I remembered that I could use my round tab punch to create circle. This would be perfect!!!

All products are from Stampin' Up! I used the Birthday Whimsy and stamped in chocolate chip classic ink. I used the Flowers for You dsp for the top half. I used chocolate chip, Tempting Turquoise, Whisper White, and certainly celery cs. I also used silver brads. I used my paper piercing tool along with the mat pack along the edges of the bottom half. Then I colored in the cake with mellow moss and barely banana.

I think it turned out pretty good! Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Pink and Brown 3x3

Pink and brown are two of my favorite color combos! This is a 3x3 card. This is a fun size! All products are Stampin' Up! except for the hole punch I used to create the holes around the scalloped flower. I started with close to cocoa, pretty in pink, and very vanilla cs. I used Berry Bliss dsp. I stamped the image from the So Many Scallops set from Sale-A-Bration! I colored the image first with close to cocoa, pretty in pink, and barely banana. Then I used my 2-way glue pen and dazzling diamonds to give some sparkle. Gotta love the sparkle! I created the flower using the scallop, 1 3/8 circle, and 1 1/4 circle punches. I also used a 1/16 hole punch to punch the little holes in the scallop circle. I used dimensionals to attach this to the dsp. I also used my corner rounder punch on the pink to create the scallops. For the finishing touch I added the 5/8 grosgrain chocolate chip ribbon.

Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Camping Birthday Wishes

Here is an easy card that has a masculine theme.

I used all products from Stampin' Up! I started with blue bayou, wild wasabi, close to cocoa, chocolate chip, whisper white, and really rust card stock. I used blue bayou, chocolate chip, and really rust classic inks. The images are from the Happy Camper set and the saying is from the Birthday Whimsy set (a Sale-a-bration set). To create the circles I used both the 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 circle punches. I stamped the images into whisper white then punched them out and layered then with the same color cs. I layered the circles on to close to cocoa cs. Then I added the other two colors. I stamped the saying in chocolate chip. I added the three brads using my mat pack and paper piercing tool to place them just right! I also used my pastels to add a bit of color to the lamp and the bear!

Thanks so much for looking and enjoy!

A Sweet Baby Boy Card

This is a little card I made for a friend of mine who just had a precious little boy a few days ago!

All products are from Stampin' Up! I used whisper white and blue bayou card stock. For the background I used a piece of the retired Wintergreen dsp. The carriage is from the Fun & Fast notes set. The saying is from the retired hostess Riveting set. I stamped both images with Blue Bayou classic ink. On the saying I stamped off the inner circle to get the color lighter. I also used my stamp-a-ma-jig to place this inner circle just right. Then I used my blender pen to color in some of the spot with the same ink. I used dazzling diamonds and my 2-way glue pen to create some fun accents on the carriage and saying. I punched out the saying with the 1 1/4 circle punch. Then layered it on top of a piece of blue bayou cs that I punched out with the designer label punch. I added a piece of blue bayou double stitched ribbon to the main image, then layered it with more blue bayou cs. I used my ticket corner punch too. To create the scallops on the bottom of the background I used my corner rounder punch.

One of my new favorite colors is blue bayou! Can you tell! Thanks for looking! Enjoy!

Quick and Easy Valentine

This was a quick and easy Valentine card created with stamps. I used the Priceless set from Stampin' Up! to create most of this card! The saying is from So Many Says (a retired hostess set), but any cute little saying would work.

All products are from Stampin' Up! I used whisper white and real red card stock. I used real red classic ink for the hearts and the saying. I stamped the hearts on a separate piece of paper and then cut them out. I placed them on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals to make them pop. I used pretty in pink for the swirls in the background. I used my corner rounder to create the scallops on the edge of the card. I then placed a strip of real red card stock on the inside of the card. And to finish the card off and give it a little bling...I used my 2-way glue pen and added some Dazzling Diamonds to the dots on the hearts and to the saying!!!

Quick and easy!!! Thanks for looking and enjoy!!!

Stampin' with my Sister

Tonight my sister came over and we got a chance to stamp! She made a fantastic card! I made a wonderful little gift card holder.

All products are from Stampin' Up! For the gift card holder I used close to cocoa, pretty in pink, and very vanilla cs. I used one of my most favorite sets...Like it a Latte. Unfortunately it is retired. I thought this set was perfect for the project because the gift card is from Starbucks. I started with the close to cocoa and made a template for the card. Once I got the size I wanted I glued it together. I wrapped a band of pretty in pink card stock around the holder that I stamped using the heart and VersaMark ink. I stamped the rest of my images onto very vanilla with close to cocoa and wild wasabi classic ink. I cut out the cup and used my round tab punch for the saying. I also used chocolate chip 5/8 grosgrain ribbon to pull the card out with. And it was done!

My sister's card was CASEd from a card I had made. She liked it so much, but wanted to make her own version! She did a fantastic job! Her card turned out great! She used certainly celery, close to cocoa, barely banana, and whisper white cs. She stamped the penguin from Punch Pals with close to cocoa. She colored him in with close to cocoa and a blender pen and a barely banana marker. She stamped the saying from It's your Birthday Set! She also used the mat pack and paper piercing tool to add dimension. Her card turned out great and I love the colors she chose!!!

It was great to get a chance to create something fun with her! Enjoy!

A Dragonfly and Ladybug Party

I used Splitcoast Stampers Sketch Challenge (SC162) for today to create this cute birthday card for a little girl I know! I think she will really like it!

All products are from Stampin' Up! I chose to use the Bugs and Kisses set for the main images and saying! The base of the card is whisper white cs. I use the Flowers for You dp, along with certainly celery, orchid opulence, and pretty in pink cs. The dragonfly, ladybug, and saying are stamped in basic black classic ink on to whisper white cs. The ladybug was also stamped in pretty in pink on another sheet of paper, cut out, and then dazzled with dazzling diamonds. The same was done to the dragonfly wings, but I colored the wings with my stampin' pastels before I added the dazzling diamonds to make it sparkle! Then I just glued the body between the wings on to the other dragonfly! The wings just curled up like that! Cute isn't it!!! I also used a flower stamped in pretty in pink and wild wasabi from the Time Well Spent set. I used VersaMark on the backgrounds for the other two layers. The dots on the pretty in pink cs are from the Polka Dots and Paisley set. I used my ticket corner punch to add a fun touch to each of the layers!!!

Enjoy!!!

Gorgeous Boho

I started this card this weekend! I love the colors and how it turned out! This card was created for Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #33 (WSC33). Thanks Beate for another fantastic challenge! The saying on this card is not even stamped!! It is one of the new rub ons from Stampin' Up! This was the first time that I have used these rub ons. They are gorgeous!

All products are from Stampin' Up! except for the ribbon from Joann's and the cute flower eyelet from Family Treasures. The stamp set used is Boho Backgrounds. I also used the Polka Dots and Paisley set. I used whisper white, basic black, and real red card stock. To create the flowers in the center of the card I stamped the image with black stazon, then used my 1 1/4 circle punch. I then used my 1 3/8 circle punch for the real red circle and finally my scallop punch for the flower. I had fun creating the real red strip. I stamped the polka dots from the Polka Dots and Paisley set in VersaMark and then ran it through the crimper to give it some texture. That was then layered on to the black cs. To create the 3 flowers on the side of the card, I used one of the flowers (that matched the scallop flowers in the center) from the Boho Blossoms punch with a white brad in the middle. I stamped the swirly flowers with basic black on to whisper white cs. I paper pierced the black cs with my mat pack. Finally, I created the tag with whisper white and with a saying from the new Eastern Elegance rub ons! I used my corner rounder on the top two corners. Then I added a gorgeous red flower eyelet with my Crop-A-Dile and tied it all together with the black and white polka dot ribbon to complete the card!

I really like how it turned out!!! Thanks Beate for the challenge!!

Swap Card and Regionals!

I was able to go to Stampin' Up!'s regionals in Anaheim, California on Saturday! WOW!!! It was sooo much fun!!! If you ever get the chance to go to one, you should! I had a blast being in a huge room where everyone loved to stamp! There were sooo many fantastic ideas floating around! I really learned so much!

This is the card that I made for the swaps. All products are from Stampin' Up! The set I used is one of my new favorites! I just can't put is down. It is called Boho Backgrounds!!! I used it on the background and on the center of the flower. I also used the One of a Kind set for the saying. I started with chocolate chip, close to cocoa, and pretty in pink card stock. I used chocolate chip ink and grosgrain ribbon. I used my 1 1/4 circle, 1 3/8 circle, and my scallop flower punches. Oh and my corner rounder punch too! This was fun to make and don't you just love the colors!

The second picture a different version. I used the same colors and the same set of stamps, but I chose to use the first one as my swap.

Enjoy!

Flower Valentine

I am having so much fun playing with my new sets! All products are from Stampin' Up! except for the smallest scallop punch from Target, the ribbon and the brads are from Joann's. I used whisper white, real red, and pretty in pink cs. Happy Heart Day was the set! I used the scallop, the 1 3/8 circle, and the 1 1/4 punches for the center flower. I used the flower from the Boho Blossoms punch, the Target punch and a pink brad for the two side flowers. I colored in the image with a real red marker. I popped those with stampin' dimensionals. I also sponged all of the pink flowers with pretty in pink along the edges. I used VersaMark ink on the background for the real red cs and pretty in pink for the background of the card. I used the word window punch for the saying. I used the mat pack and my paper piercing tool to add some accents to the top corners of the real red cs and added the pink brad. As a final touch I rounded the corners of the card with my corner rounder punch and added the ribbon!

I used this card for a challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. The limited supply challenge(LSC151)for last week where you were supposed to not use dp, but stamp your backgrounds. Thanks so much for looking! Enjoy!!!
