A Beary Happy Birthday

This card is for my nephew who will turn 5 this weekend! It also is for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #43. The colors this week are chocolate chip, ruby red, pumpkin pie, old olive, and brocade blue. What a fantastic color combo! If you have not tried her challenges...what are you waiting for! They are a great way to get those juices in your brain flowing!!!

I used the sets Under the Stars and Short & Sweet to complete this card. I used all of the colors in card stock and very vanilla too. I stamped the bear and the smore in Stazon Timber Brown on to watercolor paper. I watercolored them in with my aqua painter and chocolate chip ink. I threw in little creamy caramel for his tummy. I gotta say this is the first time that I used my aqua painter and I LOVE IT!!! My sil and upline (the same person) got me hooked on it!! She talked it up so much that I had to get it! It is so easy to use!!!! Anyway...back to the card...I stamped the saying in pumpkin pie. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug too! Then I used the word window punch! The circles are made with the 1/2 inch circle punch. I cut out the hat and the candle. The pom pom on the hat was punched out with a flower punch from Target. I popped the bears face, the smore and the main image square with dimensionals!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

A Lovely Flower Thank You

This is my card for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #42! I know!!! Can you believe it!!! I actually had a chance to make a card on the first night of the challenge and not at the last minute!!! Usually my name is one of the last on this challenge!! Not this time!!! WOOO HOOOO!! Anyway! I really needed some stamping therapy, so here is my card.... the colors this week were more mustard, really rust, kiwi kiss, and whisper white! Great combo right! I fell in love with kiwi kiss all over again!!!

I used two stamps sets this time! For the swirls, I used Baroque Motifs and for the saying, I used Short & Sweet. I used card stock in all of the colors from the challenge. I used Kiwi Kiss classic ink. For the ovals I used Spellbinders ovals on my Sizzix machine. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the whisper white oval. I must love this folder! I have been using it a lot lately! I created the flower using the 1 3/8", 1 1/4", and the 1" circle punches along with the cutter kit to age the edges. I did trim the inner circle a bit because I wanted to see the more mustard a bit more. I also used a kiwi kiss button and dimensionals to make it pop.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

Priceless Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Here is my entry for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #41.This card is for my wonderful hubby!

The sketch is from this weeks Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast (SC215). I thought this was a great sketch!

I used the Priceless stamp set for this card. One of my all time favorite sets!!! I used riding hood red, basic grey, basic black and whisper white card stock. For ink, I used Stazon black and riding hood red. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug and a black and white polka dot ribbon from Jo-Ann's. I stamped the vertical strip and attached the ribbon. Then ran the grey cs through the Sizzix machine with the folder. The stamped the hearts and cut one out so that I could pop it up. Then I stamped the saying. I mounted the main image and the popped heart with dimensionals. I also added a little bit of Stickles to the popped heart! What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

Love You Hearts

With Valentine's Day just around the corner, I thought it was about time that I made a card or two. Here is my first card! I used Stampin' Up!'s retired set called Happy Hearts! This is one fantastic set! For the saying I used the Short & Sweet set!

I stamped four hearts in riding hood red and then punched them out with the 1 1/4 circle punch. I then punched 1 3/8 circles out of riding hood red. I mounted the heart circles with dimensionals. I used the 2-way glue pen and Dazzling Diamonds on one of the hearts. I stamped the saying in the same color and then punched that and the riding hood red cs with the word window punch. I used dimensionals again to pop the word. I placed all of this on to a pretty in pink piece of card stock that I ran through my Sizzix machine with the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug. I also used the scallop edge punch too! I added white grosgrain ribbon. I used the slot punch to do this. Then this all went on to the base which was whisper white card stock!

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!
