I made a little 3x3 Thank You card! I used the set retired Hostess set called A Little Somethin'. I got this layout idea from my upline Gaylyn. She made me a kit of cards when my daughter was in the hospital at the beginning of the year. So here is what I came up with. I used chocolate chip, pink pirouette, whisper white, and certainly celery card stock. I stamped the main image with stazon black and then used the pretty in pink and certainly celery markers. I also used dazzling diamonds too! I punched this out with the 1 3/4 circle punch. I used the mat pack and paper piercing tool for the certainly celery strip. Then I used the Cuttlebug embossing folder called Texture for the pink layer. Just a quick and easy thank you card. One can never have enough!
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!
My mom needed a birthday card for a friend of hers who really like the wine and grapes theme. So I thought the retired hostess set called Provencal would be perfect!
This is what I came up with! I started with the main image and stamped it onto whisper white card stock with Basic Black classic ink. I colored in the image with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I frayed the edges with the cutter kit. I layered that on to a piece of basic black cs using dimensionals. Then I ran a some rich razzleberry cs through my new Big Shot (Thanks Gaylyn!!! :o) with the Cuttlebug embossing folder called Texture. I placed this all on to whisper white card stock. I stamped the saying from Short & Sweet using the rich razzleberry marker. I also rounded the corners with the corner rounder punch.

Hi! I can't believe it is already Wednesday! We have family from back east here and this week is just flying by!
Here is the card that I created for Kerin @ Stamps, Paper, Glitter's
Sketch Challenge #20. This was a challenging sketch for me! But it was a lot of fun! Thanks for another great sketch!
I used the Bella's Bloom and the Teeny Tiny Wishes. I also used the rich razzleberry, crushed curry, melon mambo, and soft suede markers! Thanks right SU now has new In Color Markers! Gotta love them! To create the three main images I used markers to color the flowers with markers on to whisper white. I punched them out with the large oval punch. I punched the coordinating color of card stock with the scallop oval punch. I layered these with dimensionals and then placed them on the card. I then added two strips of paper.... one is rich razzleberry and the other is from the dsp called Razzleberry Lemonade. I added white taffeta ribbon. I also added a saying by using the word window punch, the modern label punch, and more dimensionals.Oh yeah and I rounded the top corners with the corner rounder punch!

I just love the Wild About You stamp set! It is retiring today! So if you do not have it yet! Go to
my Stampin' Up website and order it! It is so versatile! What I am showing you today is the baby gift my sister-in-law
Gaylyn and I made for a very close friend of ours! The new baby's theme was jungle and the mommy wanted bright colors. We had so much fun making these items! We wanted to keep the up with the consistency so we used all the same colors for each of our projects. The inks we used were both craft and classic ink pads and markers depending on the project. The colors we used were summer sun, pumpkin pie, glorious green, real red, perfect plum, close to cocoa, chocolate chip, old olive, garden green, certainly celery, baja breeze, and pacific point. The stamps sets that we mainly used were Wild About You and Season of Friendship.
Enjoy!
First up is the clock! I made this from a clock that I bought at Wal-Mart. I used made my own face out of whisper white card stock. I stamped the animals and leaves in various colors with my stamp-a-ma-jig. I then made the numbers with retired set called Doodle Numbers. I punched them out with the 1 3/8 circle punch. I then punched out real red cs with the 1 3/4 circle punch and layered the two.
This is a handy little bag I embellish that I got from Wal-Mart. The picture in the front doubles as a pocket too! I stamped the images with craft ink onto muslin fabric. I then sewed the trim on and then sewed the pocket to the bag. I also used a fabric marker to outline the images to make them pop a little bit more.
For this side of the bag I used chocolate chip craft ink and the retired alphabet set called Headline Alphabet. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to get the letters in the right place. I also used the leaves from a Season of Friendship.
I had a lot of fun making this tray that I bought at Michael's. First I painted it white with acrylic paint. I had to do several coats. I stamped all of the images and sponged on the grass. I used the retired set, Headline Alphabet, again. The sun was a circle that I cut out. I am not sure where this paper came from? We, I say we but my husband did it, then sprayed on a sealant to protect the tray. I also tried on real red grosgrain, baja breeze striped ribbon, and orange ribbon from Michael's to the handles.
The rest of the gift items were made by my sister-in-law Gaylyn! I just love what she came up with!!!
For this write-on board, she used a picture frame. She stamped the images and added the sun (just like the sun from the tray) to a sheet of whisper white card stock. She layered that on to baja breeze designer series paper. She then tied a piece of baja breeze striped ribbon to the frame, placed the glass back in, then the picture, and then the backing of the frame. She then took a white board marker and wrote on the glass. What a fantastic idea!! Loving it!
This is a door hanger that she made out of two pieces of chipboard. One piece is the backing and the other is the frame. She made the frame by using the top note die. Between the two layers is the picture she stamped. She then added the jumbo eyelets with the crop-a-dile to each side of the top. She added the orange ribbon from Micheal's.
These are the two lovely little onesies that she stamped on! The first one she stamped with craft ink and then used a fabric puff pen in brown to outline it. She added leaves to the sleeves.
This is the other little one she made using the same techniques. She also lined this one with a fabric marker to make the image pop! She also added a button for the ear! How adorable right!Don't you just love the back with all the different color birdies!
Our friend loved the gifts! She was so excited!
Thanks for stopping by and reading this incredibly long post and I wish you a very creative day!!!
I just love the Wild About You set! I am so sad that it is retiring!
I made this card using Kerin's (@ Stamps, Paper, Glitter) sketch from her
Sketch Challenge #19. What a great layout!
I used basic black, pacific point, glorious green, real red, and whisper white card stock. I used baja breeze and pacific point classic ink for the elephant. For the saying, the flower and the bird I used real red and glorious green markers along with a blender pen with pacific point ink.
I used the white gel pen to add the dots around the layers. I used the scallop oval and the large oval punch for the saying. I also used dimensionals for the elephant's ear and the saying. The embossed dots came from the Cuttlebug's Swiss Dots folder. I added the real red grosgrain ribbon too! The star were created by a star punch from JoAnn's.
Check back in tomorrow of a great baby gift using the Wild About You set!
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!
So many birthdays!!! Here is another birthday card for a friend who has a birthday this month too! So many wonderful people I know were born this month! The colors for this challenge are from Dawn McVey's
Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #10. Today is her birthday! Happy Birthday to you, Dawn!
I
loved the colors for this challenge!!! The colors I used for this challenge were chocolate chip, blush blossom, cameo coral, and very vanilla. I started with the new Razzle Dazzle set (just got this one yesterday... it is in the new catalog that comes out July 1st) and I stamped the flower with cameo coral classic ink on to blush blossom. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to place these just right. I layered that with cameo coral cs. I also ran a strip of the same card stock through the Cuttlebug embossing folder called Texture. I layered a chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon over these two elements. For the saying I punched two scallop ovals, one is chocolate chip and the other in very vanilla. I punched 1/16" holes around it, then layered it on to the vanilla one. I color the stamp from Oval All with a chocolate chip and cameo coral markers and stamped it. I added Dazzling Diamonds too! Gotta have some sparkle! I used the large oval punch to punch it out. I layered this on to the other ovals with dimensionals. I glued all of this to the base which is chocolate chip. I used the scallop edge punch and added a strip of very vanilla. to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!
I used the stamp set called Illuminations and the wheel called Illuminated. I used vellum, very vanilla, really rust, more mustard, and basic gray card stock. I used basic gray, really rust, and more mustard classic ink. I stamped the image twice, once on to very vanilla cs and then on to vellum with basic gray ink. I mounted these two layers on to the more mustard layer with dimensionals. The mm layer was then glued on to the really rust one. I stamped the image again with really rust and then cut out the "T." I used dimensionals to add it to the main image. I ran a strip of more mustard through a Cuttlebug embossing folder called D'Vine Swirls. I then used the wheel with more mustard ink and added both strips to the card. I then added the main image and the flower designer brad.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!
A card to share and some great news too!
There are so many things about stamping that I love! One thing is that stamping gives me a chance to get away for a little bit while still being at home. Even if the little while is during nap time or really late at night or even for just 5 minutes! I also love that I get a chance to watercolor too! It is definitely one of my favorite techniques. The aqua painters are such a great tool! I love using them with the classic inks or the watercolor pencils. I have not tried the watercolor crayons yet, but I have heard good things.
Anyway on to the card! I made this for a friend of mine. She loves being in the garden and it was her birthday! So what a perfect set. We have a lot of birthday's this month! I used the Scene in a Garden set for the Occasions Mini. I stamped it all in with Stazon Timber Brown on to watercolor paper. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to place everything just right. I then colored it all in using the watercolor pencils and the aqua painter. I mounted this onto chocolate chip card stock with dimensionals. I added two folded tabs of so saffron grosgrain ribbon. This then went onto the card base which was very vanilla.
I also wanted to add that Nancy over at
iStamp picked my
Vintage Bella Toile card for her
iPick #32 this week! The other cards and projects that she picked this week were gorgeous! If you have not been to her site, please go! She had a fantastic blog and is very inspiring! I feel so honored! Thank you Nancy!
