Bella Blossom

I love this set!! My sil is here and she brought this set with her! We have been having so much fun stamping together when we get the chance. We have had a crazy past couple of weeks here. Sorry to all of you for not posting lately and to those of you who have blogs that I visit. My youngest, who is only 21 months, had several febrile seizures last Sunday and we have been in the hospital for the past week. She is home safe and sound now! I will eventually be by your blogs to see what you have been up to! Thanks for understanding!!!

The set is called Bella Blossoms. I used chocolate chip, pretty in pink, very vanilla, and a bit of kiwi kiss card stock. For the flower I used pretty in pink, regal rose, certain celery, and old olive markers for the flower. I would first color the stamp with the lightest marker and then add accents with the darker color. I stamped the flower several times and then cut out the different parts that I wanted to pop out with dimensionals. For the bottom layer of the flower that is popped out I just cut a stamped image out and folded the edges and glued it on. I add stickles to the center of the flower. I stamped the swirls from Baroque Motifs in pretty in pink for the background. For the friend saying, I stamped it in chocolate chip and then punched it out with curly label punch. I sponged all of the edges with chocolate chip and then glued it all together!

Retro Fruit Thank You

Here is my entry for Kristina Werner's Color Challenge #39.

I used the Tart and Tangy set. I used basic black, real red, so saffron, green galore, and whisper white card stock. I also used green galore and basic black ink pads. I used so saffron and real red markers. For punched I used the word window, the scallop edge punch, and the scallop square punch. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug for the background. I used dimensionals to pop each of the layers. And I used Stickles for the glitter. For that final touch I used real red grosgrain ribbon and attached it with a glue dot.

Pink Polka Dot Dress

Here is my card for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #38. What a fantastic color challenge!! I love these colors!

The colors are ruby red, pretty in pink, pumpkin pie, and whisper white. I used all of these colors in card stock. The stamp set I used is called Humor in High Heels! Just love this set! For the saying I used the Short & Sweet stamp set. The dresses were stamped in Stazon black and the saying was stamped with ruby red classic ink. The dress in the middle is paper pieced with a piece from a retired designer series paper called Spring Fling. I popped the dress out with dimensionals. I also paper pieced a ruby red belt. I punched out a flower from a $1 punch from Target and then attached it with a rhinestone brad from the Circle Fire collection which was pumpkin pie to go with the theme! For a final touch I used the scallop punch on the bottom front of the card and then I added the pretty in pink grosgrain ribbon to the top!!!

A Very Vanilla Christmas

I made a couple of these cards to give with gifts over the holidays. I love this image. It is so beautifully detailed that I decided to only a a bit of color! This image is from the Home for Christmas set. I used chocolate chip, red riding hood and very vanilla card stock. I used stazon's timber brown ink for the image. I colored in the ribbon on the door with a blender pen and red riding hood ink. The lamp is colored in with a so saffron marker. I also used stickles on both the ribbon and the lamp!

I am all about quick and easy cards! And the Designer Series Paper makes it work! This one I made for my little brother awhile back. I used the Curly Label Punch Bundle. The saying is from Cute and Curly and stamped in Basic Gray onto baja breeze card stock. I then punched it out with the curly label punch. I used dimensionals to mount it. Both of the designer papers are from Urban Garden. I used the corner rounder punch on all four corners too! The ribbon is baja breeze striped. I love that ribbon and color! I attached silver brads to the end. I layered this on to whisper white and then close to cocoa for my base.

Kiwi Kissed Manly Birthday Card

What do you think of my title? I know it is silly, but I thought it was fun! I made this card with one of the new sets my husband picked out for me for Christmas! The set is Lovely as a Tree! I also used It's Your Birthday, which is retired, for the saying. I made this card for my dad's birthday.

I used chocolate chip, kiwi kiss, tangerine tango and very vanilla card stock. I started by stamping my image in kiwi kiss ink pad, then coloring on the stamp with my chocolate chip marker for the tree trunk and limbs. I stamped the image on the paper. I then colored in the tree with my blender pen and kiwi kiss ink. I sponged the edges of the image with chocolate chip. I layered the image and used dimensionals to pop the two layers. For the background strips I used versamark. On the tangerine tango piece I used my tried and true, but retired, linen background stamp. For the kiwi kiss strip, I used the leaf stamp from Lovely as a Tree. I punched out 1 1/2 squares with the 1 3/4 square punch (this was a little bit bigger than my saying) to make a window. I placed vanilla card stock on the inside. Then stamped they saying in tangerine tango. I made sure that you would be able to see it through the window!!

Pinks and Greens

Happy New Year!!! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!! Here is my entry for Kristina Werner's Color Challenge #36! This is a quick and easy card that I created because we have been super busy around here!!

I loved the color combo for this challenge! The colors are rose red, pretty in pink, old olive, and whisper white. I did not have any rose red and I really wanted to participate, so I had to use regal rose. I used card stock in all the colors. I then stamped the swirls from Priceless in versamark on the background. I used an old olive rub-on from Love and Happiness (from last years Sale-a-bration). I added a button and a regal rose ribbon to the front of the mini card. I also added stickles for some fun sparkle!
