Easter Bunny Fun!

****If you are reading this in an email, please click in my blog name link, not the link to this card! For some reason, the link to this card is not working!!! ***

This was a fun card to make! I love the spring feel of it! I love this new set from SU! It's called An Egg-cellent Easter! It is such a fun one to watercolor with the aqua painter! For this card I used Stazon Timber Brown to stamp the image and saying. I used whisper white, pink pirouette, certainly celery, and water color paper (not from SU!) I used the aqua painter to color in the bunny and the eggs. I used close to cocoa, baja breeze, kiwi kiss, summer sun, pink pirouette, and pale plum classic ink. I used dimensionals to pop the certainly celery layer and I added two tabs (loving the tab thing lately :o) of so saffron grosgrain ribbon!

Garden Scene

Here is my card for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #47! I used the NEW stamp set called Scene in a Garden from Stampin' Up!'s Occasion's Mini which starts the beginning of April. The colors for this challenge are chocolate chip, tangerine tango, so saffron, and whisper white. What do you think? This was a hard color challenge! I really wanted to create a spring card even though these colors remind me of the fall! :o)

I stamped all of the images in Stazon Timber Brown onto watercolor paper. I used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to place some of the images. I then colored everything in with the aqua painter. I used chocolate chip and tangerine tango classic ink. I used the so saffron marker as well! I added dimensionals to the image layer and then layered it with chocolate chip and so saffron card stock. I then added two pieces of so saffron grosgrain ribbon to the side!

Bella Blossoms Again

I love the Bella Blossoms stamp set! Unfortunately I do not own this set! My sister-in-law does and I got to use it when she visited me! I cased my own card (see it here), I just changed the colors and the saying.

The set is called Bella Blossoms. I used basic black, perfect plum, and whisper white card stock. For the flower I used perfect plum and pale plum classic ink, then certain celery and old olive markers for the flower and stem. For the flower I inked it up with the lighter color. I would first color the stem with the lightest marker and then add accents with the darker color. I stamped the flower several times and then cut out the different parts that I wanted to pop out with dimensionals. After cutting out these parts I sponged them with perfect plum for some depth. For the bottom layer of the flower that is popped out I just cut a stamped image out and folded the edges and glued it on. I add Stickles to the center of the flower. I stamped the swirls from Baroque Motifs in pale plum for the background. For the dear friend saying, I stamped it in basic black and then punched it out with curly label punch.

Rock Star

This card was created for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #46. The colors for this challenge are basic black, red riding hood, regal rose, pretty in pink, and bashful blue.

First I created the layers for the card using the colors from the challenge. The card base is basic black. There is a strip of riding hood red. There is also a strip of pretty in pink with polka dots from retired Designer Series paper called Spring Fling. Then there is a strip of regal rose that I ran through my Sizzix machine using Cuttlebug's D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. I use several strips of bashful blue. On one of the strips I used the scallop edge punch. I used the Level 2 Hostess set called A Little Somethin'. I stamped the star with Stazon Black and then heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. I punched the star out with the large star punch and then attached it with dimensionals. I attached a pink ribbon to the top. (I am not sure where the ribbon came from?)

Stamping in Tile Coasters!

I thought coasters would be a great gift for some of my friends and family! So I went and bought some tumbled marble tiles at Lowe's. The tiles are 4"x4". This is a fun and easy project! Here is how I created these coasters... For this set I used the Noble Deer stamp set. I stamped in the tiles with Stazon Timber Brown ink. I also sponged the edges a bit with the same ink. I heat set the tiles in my oven @ 375 for 10 to 15 minutes. I then glued on some cork circles on the bottom with a hot glue gun. I did not seal them because I wanted the tiles to soak up any water! So far they work great!

Butterflies

This is the card that I made for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #45. It is also for my sister for her 18th birthday which is tomorrow!!!

The colors for this weeks challenge are basic black, basic gray, and whisper white! My sister loves black and white, so I thought this challenge would be great for her card! I also am using my new stamp set from the Occasions Mini called Great Friend!

I decided to use card stock in all of the colors! I stamped the butterflies with Stazon Basic Black and heat embossed them with clear and tinsel silver embossing powder. (The silver powder is from Stamp-n Stuff). I cut them out and mounted them on to the ww card stock. I then created several layers of card stock. For the saying I used the same stamp set. I stamped the flourish in stazon black and then cut it out. I then stamped the saying in basic gray and cut it out to layer it on the flourish. I used my scallop edge punch on the basic gray layer.

Off-Roadin' Pooch

This is a card that I made for my brother-in-law's birthday!!! He is an avid mountain bike racer!!! This was a fast card to make too!

I used SU's set called Hit the Road!! This set is so cute! I stamped it on watercolor paper with Stazon Timber Brown ink. I colored in the image with my aqua painter (LOVE that tool!) using kiwi kiss, tangerine tango, close to cocoa, and basic grey classic inks. I used the barely banana marker for the lights and basic black marker for some of the wheels. The base of the card is close to cocoa card stock. I layered the main image onto kiwi kiss card stock. I also added two strips of kiwi kiss and baja breeze. I added two antique brass jumbo eyelets with my crop-a-dile!

Best Wishes

Here is my card for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #44! I love the colors this week!!! One of my favorite combos!!! The colors are chocolate chip, close to cocoa, pink pirouette, and whisper white.

Oh and check out my sil's card for this challenge too!

This time I used the Bella Toile background stamp, the Cute & Curly set and the Short & Sweet set. I used whisper white craft ink, chocolate chip classic ink, and close to cocoa classic ink. For card stock, I used all of the colors from the challenge. I stamped the Bella Toile in whisper white craft ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I stamped the saying by first stamping the label on to whisper white and pink pirouette paper with close to cocoa. I stamped the saying in the middle of the pink one with chocolate chip. I cut that out. I also cut out the white label so that I was able to layer it onto my close to cocoa card stock (that was punched out with the cute & curly label punch). Anyways....then I added the close to cocoa layer that I used my scallop edge punch and the 1/16 circle punch. I added a strip if whisper white card stock and then the 5/8 chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon. I added the whisper white strip to the top that I punched with my paper piercing tool and mat pack. and for the final touch I added 3 buttons to the left corner!

Pretty Pretty Princess

I made this card for my daughter! She loves princesses! The sketch comes from Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge (WSC70). Lori Craig is hosting the challenge. It was a great sketch!

I used SU's retired set Pretty Princess. I used regal rose, pretty in pink, barely banana, and whisper with card stock. I used Stazon Black ink and SU's pretty in pink, pixie pink, old olive, and barely banana markers. I used markers to color in the princess and the flowers. I used Dazzling Diamonds and 2-way glue to add sparkle. I used my aqua painter and old olive to create grass that the princess is standing on. I cut out the dress, star, and crown and mounted them with dimensionals to make them pop! I also used the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the regal rose layer. I used the scallop circle punch, the 1 3/8 circle punch, dimensionals, and the paper piercer for the saying. I used the scallop edge punch with the 1/16th circle punch on the edge of the whisper white cs. For the two little flowers I used the Boho Blossoms punch and added a silver brad.
