Monkey Birthday

I had so much fun last night stamping with friends! Lots of giggling and some great fellowship! Here is a card I created last night for a little boy who just turned 2! I used this week sketch challenge from Clean & Simple Stamping - Fall-to Layout 79 as a starting point. This was a quick layout! Very fun to use!

I used the stamp sets Fox & Friends from the Occasions Mini, Happy Moments from the Sale-a-bration catalog, and Short & Sweet. I stamped the images in chocolate chip classic ink. I used kraft, whisper white, and bermuda bay card stock. The dsp is called Welcome Neighbors from the Sale-a-bration catalog. I also used the corner rounder punch on several of the corners. The present the monkey is holding is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

Birthday Wishes with Grapes

My mom needed a birthday card for a friend of hers who really like the wine and grapes theme. So I thought the retired hostess set called Provencal would be perfect!

This is what I came up with! I started with the main image and stamped it onto whisper white card stock with Basic Black classic ink. I colored in the image with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. I frayed the edges with the cutter kit. I layered that on to a piece of basic black cs using dimensionals. Then I ran a some rich razzleberry cs through my new Big Shot (Thanks Gaylyn!!! :o) with the Cuttlebug embossing folder called Texture. I placed this all on to whisper white card stock. I stamped the saying from Short & Sweet using the rich razzleberry marker. I also rounded the corners with the corner rounder punch.

Floral Birthday

The Fifth Avenue Floral set is so easy and fun to use! I stamped several of the flowers in baja breeze and kiwi kiss on to a piece of whisper white card stock. I then layered on to baja breeze cs. I added a strip of baja breeze striped ribbon to the edge. For the sentiment, I stamped the saying from Teeny Tiny Wishes in baja breeze and then punched it out with the word window punch. I added two silver brads and then dimensionals to make it pop off of the piece of baja breeze cs that I punched out with the new modern label punch. I placed all of this elements on a card base of close to cocoa.

More Birthdays!

So many birthdays!!! Here is another birthday card for a friend who has a birthday this month too! So many wonderful people I know were born this month! The colors for this challenge are from Dawn McVey's Raspberry Suite Color Challenge #10. Today is her birthday! Happy Birthday to you, Dawn!

I loved the colors for this challenge!!! The colors I used for this challenge were chocolate chip, blush blossom, cameo coral, and very vanilla. I started with the new Razzle Dazzle set (just got this one yesterday... it is in the new catalog that comes out July 1st) and I stamped the flower with cameo coral classic ink on to blush blossom. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to place these just right. I layered that with cameo coral cs. I also ran a strip of the same card stock through the Cuttlebug embossing folder called Texture. I layered a chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon over these two elements. For the saying I punched two scallop ovals, one is chocolate chip and the other in very vanilla. I punched 1/16" holes around it, then layered it on to the vanilla one. I color the stamp from Oval All with a chocolate chip and cameo coral markers and stamped it. I added Dazzling Diamonds too! Gotta have some sparkle! I used the large oval punch to punch it out. I layered this on to the other ovals with dimensionals. I glued all of this to the base which is chocolate chip. I used the scallop edge punch and added a strip of very vanilla. to finish it off.

In the Garden

A card to share and some great news too!
There are so many things about stamping that I love! One thing is that stamping gives me a chance to get away for a little bit while still being at home. Even if the little while is during nap time or really late at night or even for just 5 minutes! I also love that I get a chance to watercolor too! It is definitely one of my favorite techniques. The aqua painters are such a great tool! I love using them with the classic inks or the watercolor pencils. I have not tried the watercolor crayons yet, but I have heard good things.

Anyway on to the card! I made this for a friend of mine. She loves being in the garden and it was her birthday! So what a perfect set. We have a lot of birthday's this month! I used the Scene in a Garden set for the Occasions Mini. I stamped it all in with Stazon Timber Brown on to watercolor paper. I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to place everything just right. I then colored it all in using the watercolor pencils and the aqua painter. I mounted this onto chocolate chip card stock with dimensionals. I added two folded tabs of so saffron grosgrain ribbon. This then went onto the card base which was very vanilla.

I also wanted to add that Nancy over at iStamp picked my Vintage Bella Toile card for her iPick #32 this week! The other cards and projects that she picked this week were gorgeous! If you have not been to her site, please go! She had a fantastic blog and is very inspiring! I feel so honored! Thank you Nancy!

A Cuppa Birthday

This is the card that I made for my mom's birthday! She loves coffee, so I thought the retired Like it a Latte set would be perfect! This is one of my all-time favorite sets! :o) She also loves blue, so I had to add that too.

I stamped the cup and a label from the Cute & Curly set in baja breeze on to whisper white card stock. I then stamped off the steam using basic gray. I added the dazzling diamonds heart that I stamped with pink pirouette and cut out to the cut with a dimensional. I mounted all of this on to a strip of baja breeze cs and then on to the card base which is kraft cs. For the saying I stamped on of the other labels that had a blank oval (the solid edge label has a Christmas saying in it) from the same Cute & Curly set. I then stamped the saying from the Short & Sweet set in the center of the oval with basic gray and cut out. I also mounted this with a dimensional. I added the baja breeze striped ribbon to the side of the card. And that was that.

Best Birthday Wishes

Hi everyone!!! How have you all been? This past month as been crazy for your little family! Lots of birthday parties, bicycle races (my husband's passion to put it mildly :o), garage sales, and so on! So needless to say, I have not had much time to stamp! Bummer I know!!! Well I am trying to get back into the swing of things...so here is my first attempt.... a card for Kristina Werner's 54th Color Inspiration Challenge! What fantastic colors!!!

I started with whisper white card stock and then ran it part of it through my Sizzix machine with the Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder. I added a strip of pumpkin pie cs with stampin' dimensionals that I faux stitched with the mat pack, paper piercing tool, and the white gel pen. I then punched a 1 3/4", 1 3/8", and 1" circle in taken with teal, green galore, and soft sky (a retired in color). I added a pumpkin pie button with white embroidery thread for a finishing touch. I attached each of these with dimensionals too! Then I stamped the saying from the Short and Sweet stamp set with pumpkin pie ink!
I have several other fun things I can't wait to share with you this week!

Wish Big!

This is a quick 3 x 3 card I made up for an Etsy customer of mine!

To make this I first cut the whisper white card stock 3 x 6 and scored at the 3" mark. I then cut the baja breeze at 2 3/4 x 2 3/4. I ran this through the Cuttlebug's Texture embossing folder. I added a 1/2" strip of kiwi kiss. I then used the Cute and Curly set and stamped in in kiwi kiss classic ink. I added the saying from the Short & Sweet set, stamping it in chocolate chip classic ink. I cut this out and then layered it with dimensionals on top of a chocolate chip card stock that was punch out by the curly label punch.

A Bright Birthday

Here is a fun and easy birthday card to make! I used several stamps from the Priceless stamp set along with the saying from the retired set called It's Your Birthday. I wanted to challenge myself to use the bold brights with this card. I have a hard time using any of those colors. Love them all, but they are still a challenge for me!

I used whisper white, real red, and pink passion card stock. I used pixie pink, real red, and green galore classic ink. And then for a bit of fun I added Dazzling Diamonds with the 2-way Glue pen! I tied a bow with red grosgrain ribbon to the top of the card and there you have it! A quick and easy birthday card in bright colors!

Birthday Cards

My sister and I got a chance to stamp! Here is what we created!

This first card I made for my brother's birthday!!! This was a fast card to make too! I used SU's set called Hit the Road!! This set is so cute! I stamped it on watercolor paper with Stazon Black ink. I colored in the image with my aqua painter (LOVE that tool!) using baja breeze, pacific point, chocolate chip, and basic gray classic inks. I used the barely banana marker for the lights and basic black marker for some of the wheels. The base of the card is chocolate chip card stock. I layered the main image with baja breeze and pacific point. The saying if from the retired set called It's Your Birthday. I stamped this onto whisper white card stock and then punched it with the wide oval punch. I used the paper piercing tool to add dots to the top and the bottom of the saying and to the corner above the jeep. I layered that with two punched out 1 3/4 circles.

My sister created a card for a friend's birthday! Here is what she came up with! The raccoon is from the Under the Stars set. The saying if from the retired set called It's Your Birthday. She used whisper white, real red, and basic black card stock. For ink, she used Stazon black and real red. She colored in the raccoon with gray. She paper pierced the corners of her card with the paper piercing tool and the mat pack! I love how it came out! She did a great job!

Butterflies

This is the card that I made for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #45. It is also for my sister for her 18th birthday which is tomorrow!!!

The colors for this weeks challenge are basic black, basic gray, and whisper white! My sister loves black and white, so I thought this challenge would be great for her card! I also am using my new stamp set from the Occasions Mini called Great Friend!

I decided to use card stock in all of the colors! I stamped the butterflies with Stazon Basic Black and heat embossed them with clear and tinsel silver embossing powder. (The silver powder is from Stamp-n Stuff). I cut them out and mounted them on to the ww card stock. I then created several layers of card stock. For the saying I used the same stamp set. I stamped the flourish in stazon black and then cut it out. I then stamped the saying in basic gray and cut it out to layer it on the flourish. I used my scallop edge punch on the basic gray layer.

Pretty Pretty Princess

I made this card for my daughter! She loves princesses! The sketch comes from Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge (WSC70). Lori Craig is hosting the challenge. It was a great sketch!

I used SU's retired set Pretty Princess. I used regal rose, pretty in pink, barely banana, and whisper with card stock. I used Stazon Black ink and SU's pretty in pink, pixie pink, old olive, and barely banana markers. I used markers to color in the princess and the flowers. I used Dazzling Diamonds and 2-way glue to add sparkle. I used my aqua painter and old olive to create grass that the princess is standing on. I cut out the dress, star, and crown and mounted them with dimensionals to make them pop! I also used the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the regal rose layer. I used the scallop circle punch, the 1 3/8 circle punch, dimensionals, and the paper piercer for the saying. I used the scallop edge punch with the 1/16th circle punch on the edge of the whisper white cs. For the two little flowers I used the Boho Blossoms punch and added a silver brad.

A Beary Happy Birthday

This card is for my nephew who will turn 5 this weekend! It also is for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #43. The colors this week are chocolate chip, ruby red, pumpkin pie, old olive, and brocade blue. What a fantastic color combo! If you have not tried her challenges...what are you waiting for! They are a great way to get those juices in your brain flowing!!!

I used the sets Under the Stars and Short & Sweet to complete this card. I used all of the colors in card stock and very vanilla too. I stamped the bear and the smore in Stazon Timber Brown on to watercolor paper. I watercolored them in with my aqua painter and chocolate chip ink. I threw in little creamy caramel for his tummy. I gotta say this is the first time that I used my aqua painter and I LOVE IT!!! My sil and upline (the same person) got me hooked on it!! She talked it up so much that I had to get it! It is so easy to use!!!! Anyway...back to the card...I stamped the saying in pumpkin pie. I used the Swiss Dots embossing folder from Cuttlebug too! Then I used the word window punch! The circles are made with the 1/2 inch circle punch. I cut out the hat and the candle. The pom pom on the hat was punched out with a flower punch from Target. I popped the bears face, the smore and the main image square with dimensionals!

Best Wishes

I am all about quick and easy cards! And the Designer Series Paper makes it work! This one I made for my little brother awhile back. I used the Curly Label Punch Bundle. The saying is from Cute and Curly and stamped in Basic Gray onto baja breeze card stock. I then punched it out with the curly label punch. I used dimensionals to mount it. Both of the designer papers are from Urban Garden. I used the corner rounder punch on all four corners too! The ribbon is baja breeze striped. I love that ribbon and color! I attached silver brads to the end. I layered this on to whisper white and then close to cocoa for my base.

Kiwi Kissed Manly Birthday Card

What do you think of my title? I know it is silly, but I thought it was fun! I made this card with one of the new sets my husband picked out for me for Christmas! The set is Lovely as a Tree! I also used It's Your Birthday, which is retired, for the saying. I made this card for my dad's birthday.

I used chocolate chip, kiwi kiss, tangerine tango and very vanilla card stock. I started by stamping my image in kiwi kiss ink pad, then coloring on the stamp with my chocolate chip marker for the tree trunk and limbs. I stamped the image on the paper. I then colored in the tree with my blender pen and kiwi kiss ink. I sponged the edges of the image with chocolate chip. I layered the image and used dimensionals to pop the two layers. For the background strips I used versamark. On the tangerine tango piece I used my tried and true, but retired, linen background stamp. For the kiwi kiss strip, I used the leaf stamp from Lovely as a Tree. I punched out 1 1/2 squares with the 1 3/4 square punch (this was a little bit bigger than my saying) to make a window. I placed vanilla card stock on the inside. Then stamped they saying in tangerine tango. I made sure that you would be able to see it through the window!!

I stamped the flower several times on to the different colors of cs and then cut them out. I used stampin' dimensional to layer them and make it pop! A Pink Pirouette Birthday

I created this birthday card using Beate's @ Fresh and Fun Weekend Sketch Challenge #66 and Splitcoast's Color Challenge CC188. The colors are Pink Pirouette, Basic Black, and Whisper White.
I just love this color combo!

The cake is from Fun & Fast Notes and the saying is from the retired set It's Your Birthday. I use pink pirouette, basic black, and whisper white card stock. I also used the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper. I used back black ink for the cake image and the saying. I colored the cake in with my blender pen and a pink pirouette ink refill, a barely banana marker. The plate is colored in with a blender pen and basic black ink. I used 2-way glue and dazzling diamonds on the cake. After I layered the cake onto the black, I used dimensionals to make that element pop. To create the two flowers, I used a punch from Target, another larger flower punch. Then I added a pink rhinestones from Kaiser Scrapbook to each flower.
