A Cuppa Birthday

This is the card that I made for my mom's birthday! She loves coffee, so I thought the retired Like it a Latte set would be perfect! This is one of my all-time favorite sets! :o) She also loves blue, so I had to add that too.

I stamped the cup and a label from the Cute & Curly set in baja breeze on to whisper white card stock. I then stamped off the steam using basic gray. I added the dazzling diamonds heart that I stamped with pink pirouette and cut out to the cut with a dimensional. I mounted all of this on to a strip of baja breeze cs and then on to the card base which is kraft cs. For the saying I stamped on of the other labels that had a blank oval (the solid edge label has a Christmas saying in it) from the same Cute & Curly set. I then stamped the saying from the Short & Sweet set in the center of the oval with basic gray and cut out. I also mounted this with a dimensional. I added the baja breeze striped ribbon to the side of the card. And that was that.

Wish Big!

This is a quick 3 x 3 card I made up for an Etsy customer of mine!

To make this I first cut the whisper white card stock 3 x 6 and scored at the 3" mark. I then cut the baja breeze at 2 3/4 x 2 3/4. I ran this through the Cuttlebug's Texture embossing folder. I added a 1/2" strip of kiwi kiss. I then used the Cute and Curly set and stamped in in kiwi kiss classic ink. I added the saying from the Short & Sweet set, stamping it in chocolate chip classic ink. I cut this out and then layered it with dimensionals on top of a chocolate chip card stock that was punch out by the curly label punch.

Here is my card for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge #44! I love the colors this week!!! One of my favorite combos!!! The colors are chocolate chip, close to cocoa, pink pirouette, and whisper white.

Oh and check out my sil's card for this challenge too!

This time I used the Bella Toile background stamp, the Cute & Curly set and the Short & Sweet set. I used whisper white craft ink, chocolate chip classic ink, and close to cocoa classic ink. For card stock, I used all of the colors from the challenge. I stamped the Bella Toile in whisper white craft ink and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then I stamped the saying by first stamping the label on to whisper white and pink pirouette paper with close to cocoa. I stamped the saying in the middle of the pink one with chocolate chip. I cut that out. I also cut out the white label so that I was able to layer it onto my close to cocoa card stock (that was punched out with the cute & curly label punch). Anyways....then I added the close to cocoa layer that I used my scallop edge punch and the 1/16 circle punch. I added a strip if whisper white card stock and then the 5/8 chocolate chip grosgrain ribbon. I added the whisper white strip to the top that I punched with my paper piercing tool and mat pack. and for the final touch I added 3 buttons to the left corner!

I am all about quick and easy cards! And the Designer Series Paper makes it work! This one I made for my little brother awhile back. I used the Curly Label Punch Bundle. The saying is from Cute and Curly and stamped in Basic Gray onto baja breeze card stock. I then punched it out with the curly label punch. I used dimensionals to mount it. Both of the designer papers are from Urban Garden. I used the corner rounder punch on all four corners too! The ribbon is baja breeze striped. I love that ribbon and color! I attached silver brads to the end. I layered this on to whisper white and then close to cocoa for my base.
Thanks for stopping by and I wish you a very creative day!!!

P.S. Don't forget to enter to win some blog candy from me!!! Also my sister-in-law is giving away some sweet blog candy too! We started so many new things together last year, like blogging, our etsy shops... mine and hers...., and Kristina Werner's color challenges!! She keeps me on my toes with crafting and is always challenging me to try new things! I love her for that! She is a great friend, a wonderful sister, and a fantastic mother of 4 little ones! If you have not checked out her blog yet, you need too!! Her wee ones keep her busy, but when she gets a chance to create.... watch out! She is very talented!!

Gift Card Holder Swap and Tutorial

Recently I took part in a gift card holder swap with my group of Stampin' Up ladies called The Little Debbies!!! Here is what I created! To open the card, the ribbon slides off.

This is a quick and easy way to jazz up a gift card for that someone special! To make this gift card you start with a 4 x 11 inch sheet of card stock. You then score the paper at 3, 5 1/2 and 8 inches. You then fold it into a "W" shape. You then punch out a slot in the folded middle section large enough for a gift card or cash with any punch you like. Then you glue or tape that middle section together. But make sure that the adhesive you use is right at the edge of the card stock. This is where the card goes and you want to make sure you have enough room for it. I found that sticky tape worked the best for me. The rest is up to you!

The stamp sets I used were Cute & Curly and Priceless. I used kraft, whisper white, pink pirouette, and baja breeze card stock. I used Versamark and baja breeze ink. I used the curly label punch for the main tag. Then I used the boho blossom punch and a silver brad for the flower in the tag. I attached it to the ribbon with sticky tape. I tied the Baja Breeze Striped grosgrain ribbon with linen thread. For the inside I used my word window punch and the 1 3/8 circle punch. I added whisper white card stock stamped in baja breeze.

Bella Toile and Buttons

I made this card for my mother-in-law for her birthday. But this card can be for any occasion! The stamp sets I used were Bella Toile and Cute and Curly. I used whisper white and ruby red card stock. Then I used just ruby red ink. I used buttons from the earth elements button collection. The ribbon is 5/8" chocolate chip grosgrain. I also used the corner rounder punch and the curly label punch. I also used stampin' dimensionals to raise the layers of the curly label punch. First I stamped the Bella Toile stamp with ruby red on to the whisper white card stock. I rounded the corners and rubbed the edges and the front of the paper on to the ink pad. I layered this onto ruby red cs. I used the Curly label punch and the cute and curly set to create the focal element. I added ribbon and buttons as well.

B is For....

Bella! This is a card I made for my little niece, Bella! I used the Always, Wild West Alphabet, Cute & Curly, and Baroque Motifs sets from Stampin' Up! to create this card. I used pink pirouette, baja breeze, and whisper white card stock. For ink, I used just Baja Breeze. I stamped the bird from Always and then used the perforating tool from the Cutter kit to create a decorative edge. I used the ticket corner punch on the pink pirouette. Then layered the two images. I also used the ticket corner punch on the baja breeze that I stamped with swirls from Baroque Motifs. I also used the top note die and cut it in half, then placed it at the top and bottom of the main image. Then to create the B for my niece, whose name is Bella, I used the Cute and Curly stamp set, the Wild West Alphabet set, and the Curly Label punch, along with stampin' dimensionals. I also used the felt flowers from the Flowers Fusion Too set and a silver brad. And that was it.

Butterfly Thank You

For this card I decided to take on two challenges!! The first challenge was Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration Challenge. The colors for this week were Pumpkin Pie, Ruby Red, Sage Shadow, and Whisper White. The second challenge was the Sketch Challenge over at Splitcoast (SC200). So what do you think?
I used all of the colors from the challenge in ink and card stock. However I could not find my pumpkin pie ink, so I decided to use Tangerine Tango instead. I used several stamp sets from Stampin' Up! I used the butterfly from Dreams du Jour and the thank you is from the Cute and Curly set. I also used the Bella Toile background stamp. I used the curly label punch. I added the white taffeta ribbon as well.

Birthday Inspirations

I made this card for my sister-in-laws birthday! I was still in Virginia at Gaylyn's house (my other wonderful sister-in-law), so I used some of her goodies to create it!!! :O) Check out the picture below to see my inspiration!

I used whisper white, riding hood red, and chocolate chip card stock. For ink, I used chocolate chip and riding hood red classic inks. I used the Pocket Silhouettes, Baroque Motifs, Cute and Curly, and the hostess set called Best Yet. For the background I used the swirls from the Baroque Motifs set and a strip of chocolate chip card stock. I used the SU's exclusive Top Note die with the Big Shot with the riding hood red and whisper white. I stamped that with a stamp from the Pocket Silhouettes set onto the whisper white. I first inked the stamp in riding hood red and then used my chocolate chip marker to color in the stems. I stamped the image once and then again on both sides of the main image without re-inking the stamp. I used the curly label punch. I punched out with chocolate chip cs and then the stamped image from the Cute and Curly set and the Best Yet Set. I had masked the thank you from that stamp from the Cute and Curly set with tape before I inked the stamp. (Using tape is a great way to quickly mask something.) I used the stamp-a-ma-jig to place the words inside the stamped image. I cut out the "you" stamped in riding hood red and used dimensionals to layer all of the pieces. I added a riding hood red button tied to chocolate chip 5/8 grosgrain ribbon with linen thread to the corner with glue dots. I also sponged the edges of everything in chocolate chip before I glued it all together.

Here is a picture of my inspiration for this card. I picked out this coffee cup at Starbucks and thought I would make a card to match. What do you think?

P.S. I added this color combo to my SUColorQ account! Just love this combo!!!

Baroque Thank You

I made this Thank you card for my husband's cousin and his wife! They were so kind to let us! I used Stampin' Up!'s Baroque Motifs and Cute & Curly stamp sets. I used whisper white, chocolate chip, and a bit of certainly celery card stock. For ink, I used pink pirouette, baja breeze, and chocolate chip. When stamping the pink pirouette and baja breeze for the background I stamped off first onto a scrap piece of paper and then stamped onto my card. This made the image a bit softer. I used the curly label punch to punch out a piece of cc card stock and the stamped thank you. I then cut out the thank you along the lines so that I was able to mat it to the cc piece with dimensionals. I attached a baja breeze and pink pirouette flower from Flower Fusion Too to the label with a silver brad. To make the leaves of the flower I punched out flowers from the blossom punch in certainly celery and cut the middle size flower to create the leaves.

I used the Cute and Curly stamp set with the curly label punch! I thought this layout was perfect for it! I also used the scallop edge punch and the Boho Blossoms punch. I used the Tres Chic background in the pink pirouette too!! And for a fun touch, I added a rhinestone brad in the center of the flower!! Oh yeah...and I forgot to mention that I used dimensionals to pop up the cute and curly label!!
