Garden Whimsy Swap

I made this card for a swap. I chose to use the Garden Whimsy set! It was for a 5-Set Sampler swap with my SU Little Debbies group. I used the card that I just made for a friend as my starting point! (This is the card.)

All products are from Stampin' Up! I started with whisper white, pretty in pink, cameo coral, and mellow moss card stock and inks. I also used the basic black marker and classic ink.

I created the flower, butterfly, and ladybug pretty much all the same way. I used my markers on the stamps. I started with the base colors on the stamp and then used the cameo coral on the tips of the flower and butterfly. Then stamped the image. I layered the tulip on to cameo coral and pretty in pink. I used my slit punch and a silver brad and sponged the edges in pretty in pink to add a fun touch. I mounted the butterfly on with dimensionals.


I used the scallop flower punch, 1 3/8, and the 1 1/4 circle punches to create the flower with the ladybug. I spong.ed the edges in pretty in pink. That is layered over a strip of mellow moss. The back ground was stamped with pretty in pink ladybugs. And for a fun touch I used dazzling diamonds and my 2-way glue pen to add some glitter to the flower, butterfly, and ladybug.

Tulip Whimsy Birthday

This card was made for a friend of mine for her birthday! Garden Whimsy is such a fun set to use!!

All products are from Stampin' Up! I used the Garden Whimsy and It's Your Birthday sets. I used whisper white, perfect plum and pretty in pink card stock. I colored the tulip stamp with pretty in pink, mellow moss, and coral pink (on the tips of the flower) with my markers. I used the Rock & Roll technique on the butterfly. I first stamped it in perfect plum and then stamped off to get a lighter color. Then I rolled the edges of the stamp in the same ink. I cut out the butterfly. I stamped the saying in perfect plum and used my 1 3/8 circle punch. I attached that to the scallop circle. Then I mounted both the saying and the butterfly with dimensionals. I layered the tulip with pretty in pink and perfect plum. I also used the ticket corner punch. The background of the card is stamped in pretty in pink and perfect plum.

I love how this card turned out! I love the color combo!

Always A Birthday

I finally got to stamp a card!! Things have been quite crazy around here!!! I have not had a chance to stamp or visit any blogs or even keep up with my email!!!

Here is the card that I just made for a friend's birthday! I had to make it so that it would go out with the mail today!!! All products are from Stampin' Up except were noted! I used the Always and It's Your Birthday stamp sets! I used pretty in pink, mellow moss, whisper white, and chocolate chip card stock. I used my mellow moss and pretty in pink markers to color in the flower. I then cut it out and mounted it on to the same heart stamped in chocolate chip with dimensionals. (I love how the heart turned out!) I then layered that onto some mellow moss. I stamped the saying in mellow moss and punched it out with my 1 3/8 circle punch. I mounted that with dimensionals to a mellow moss punched out scallop circle. And then used the dimensionals again to attach that to the background. The background is embossed with the Cuttle Bug Perfect Paisley folder. The ribbon is 5/8 grosgrain in chocolate chip. That is all layered onto a piece of chocolate chip. I also inked up some of the edges with chocolate chip ink. I used the ticket corner punch on all of the corners!

My Mother-In-Law Made Some Cards!!!

I have not had a lot of time to stamp lately, but my mother-in-law was able to come over the other day and make a few cards!!! She did a fantastic job, so I thought I would share them with you!

She used Stampin' Up! products! Her first card she used two retired sets, Delight in Life and Just for You Series-French Twist. She used groovy guava, chocolate chip, very vanilla, and close to cocoa card stock. She used groovy guava and chocolate chip classic ink. She punched a scallop circle out of the Afternoon Tea designer series paper. She also used the 1 3/8 circle punch. She also used the ticket corner punch. As for the brads, they are fake. She punched out little circles from the 1/8 punch and glued them on! Don't they look great. She also used Cuttle Bug's Perfect Paisley folder.

For her second card, she used pretty in pink, whisper white, and brown textured paper from ? card stock. She used Pretty in pink and chocolate chip ink. She used the scallop circle, 1 3/8 circle and the ticket corner punches. The stamp sets she used are from the same card above. She also used Cuttle Bug's D'Vine Swirl.

She did such a wonderful job!!!! Thanks for looking and have a great day!!

A Swap Card from SBS Sister!!!

This is a card I received from Richelle at Ladybug Spots. She is one of my SBS Sisters!!! She has a great site, so go on and check it out! Look at the cute dragonfly sticker! And the girl on the swing is just adorable!!!! She also sent some fantastic images that I can't wait to play with!!!

A Tweet Thank You!

I made this card a few days ago. It is a card for one of my uplines to thank her. She is a wonderful and very talented woman!

All products are from Stampin' Up! I used the bird stamp from the Fun & Fast Notes set and the thank you from the Much Appreciated set. I used started out with the dp from Flowers for You and went with that to coordinate my colors for the rest of the card. I used Lovely Lilac and Tempting Turquoise cs. I also used whisper white cs too! I make the scalloped edge I used my 3/4 inch circle punch and a piece of the Sticky Strip. I first placed the strip on the back of the lovely lilac cs and then pealed off the red strip to expose the sticky tape. I then placed the circles right next to each other. For the bird and the saying, I stamped them in Stazon black. I used my blender pen along with pixie pink, garden green, and sky blue classic ink pads to color in the bird. I also used my so saffron marker to color in the beak. I thought that I would make the bird pop a bit my using my blender pen and the basic gray ink pad to shade around the bird. To the flower, I attached a pink rhinestone brad from the fire collection. I attached all of this to the tempting turquoise and then popped that layer with some dimensionals.

I enjoyed making this card because I used colors that I do not normally use, but really like! Thanks for looking and have a wonderful day!

Bloom

I made this card awhile ago for a swap with one of my fabulous SBS 13 sisters! I did not post it because I wanted it to be a surprise for her! I had so much fun making this card. My inspiration was the clock I made a few weeks ago. Plus I just love the Bloomin' Beautiful set from SU! I can't get enough of it right now! That and blue bayou too!!!

All of the products are from Stampin' Up! I started with whisper white, soft sky, and blue bayou card stock. I used the Bloomin' Beautiful set. I stamped everything in black Stazon. I did this so that when I color in the image, the image will not blend into or bleed into my coloring. I colored the images with the blender pen using the soft sky, blue bayou, garden green, and chocolate chip classic ink pads. I stamped the bee onto a different piece of paper then I colored it in with my barely banana marker. I outlined the flowers and the saying with the blender pen and the soft sky ink pad. I added the double stitch blue bayou ribbon and attached it with two silver brads. I layered that onto the next layer that I tore at the bottom. I attached that to the last layer. I pierced this layer with my piercing tool and my mat pack. I also used my color spritzer with close to cocoa to add some more fun. I really like how it turned out! I hope she liked it!

Cute as a Bug!

I have stamped on and off this past week, but have not had a chance to post anything!! Life just gets so busy sometimes! Hopefully I will be able to post something and stamp a little too this week!!

I created this card using Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge! (WSC45) This was a fun sketch to create!!! The card is going to be a birthday card for a 3 year old little girl! I think she will love the bright colors and the cute little bugs!!

All products are from Stampin' Up! except for the various flower punches. I used whisper white, lovely lilac, and tempting turquoise card stock. The dp was from Flowers for You. The set is Bugs and Kisses. I stamped the saying and the bugs in pixie pink and perfect plum classic ink. I punched those out with the 1 3/8 square punch. I rubbed the edges in the ink pad that I used for the bug in the square. I then used the mat pack and the paper piercing tool to give a boarder to this layer and the layer with the saying. I used dimensionals to pop the layer with the two cute bugs. on the top corner, I punched out flowers of two sizes (the smaller flower is from the $1 section @ Target and the other...I am not sure???) in the two colors. I added a rose red eyelet using my crop-a-dile to each flower.

Pine Cone Birthday

Here is my card for Beate's wonderful Weekend Sketch Challenge #44 (WSC44)! It's an easy guy card to make. This is a birthday card that I created for my brother-in-law. Thanks for the great challenge!

All products used are from Stampin' Up! I used Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, and Wild Wasabi card stock. I stamped the pine cone from the Noble Deer set in garden green and then use my chocolate chip marker to color in the pine cones and branch. I then stamped my image on the cs. I used my scoring tool to create the lines that frame the branch. The gave the effect I was looking for. I then stamped the saying in garden green and punched it out with the designer label punch. I sponged both with creamy caramel. After punching out the saying, I thought that it needed more, so I added another layer. Instead of trying to cut around the punch I punched out a 1 3/8 circle and cut a rectangle and attached those two together. This worked perfectly. I stamped the pine branch the dots (from the Polka Dots and Paisley set) in versamark on the background panels.

testing my signature...

I just want to see if this works...I added a signature to the bottom of my post!! I found out how to do it from Allison @ Stampin When I Can! I followed along and used My Live Signature to create my very own signature! I then used the rest of Allison's directions to add it to my post! The only thing different from here directions was that I did only use the html code from the website (where it says "Want to use this signature") and not from Allison to add it to my blog.

OK...so the white outline around the name looks kind of funny. What do you think? I am not sure how to change that without changing the color of the background. I will try to mess with it later because I need to go stamp a birthday card for my Brother-In-Law!!! Thanks for looking and enjoy!

Noble Deer Card

The Noble Deer stamp set from Stampin' Up! is such a great set for a guy card! I am using this as a birthday card, but this would make a great Father's Day card too! The layout for this card is from Splitcoaststampers Sketch Challenge #172 (SC172).

All products are from Stampin' Up! except for the embossing folders for the Cuttlebug from Provo Craft! I used chocolate chip, whisper white, blue bayou, not quite navy, wild wasabi, and soft sky card stock and layered accordingly. I dry embossed the blue bayou with D'vine Swirls and not quite navy with Birds and Swirls. Ok...so the embossing folders are really kind of girly, but they work with this card. My husband thought so. Just look!!! Then I also used the my mat pack and paper piercing tool on the wild wasabi strip. I used black Stazon, water color pencils, and the blender pen for the main image. I attached both the strip and the main image with dimensionals to the base of the card. And there you go. This was a fun card to make!

Blue Bayou Double Pocket Card

This was really a fun card to create! The layout was from yesterdays Splitcoaststampers Try a New Technique Challenge! (TLC164) This technique is so easy! Here is the tutorial on how to create it! There are so many possibilities with this card. I will be using it as a Mother's Day card. I may make another one and use one of the pockets as a gift card holder. OH and did you notice the dragonfly right next to the flower!!! I folded it just right so that the dragonfly would be on the front!!!! Hehehe!!!

All products are from Stampin' Up! I love blue bayou and thought the designer series paper would be perfect for this project! I will be so sad when this color retires. I also used whisper white and blue bayou card stock and blue bayou classic ink. I chose the A Beautiful Thing stamp set! First you fold the 8 1/2 x 11 sheet according to the directions from the link above. This was very easy. Then I stamped the saying on to the cs and punched it out using the designer label punch. I layered that onto the cs and then the dsp card front. To create the flower I used the scallop circle punch and cut it to make it look like petals then I layered it with several flowers from the Boho Blossoms punch. The smallest flower came from a $1 punch I picked up at the dollar spot @ Target a while ago. I used a silver brad to attach all of the layers and then a dimensional to attach it to the card. I made the two inserts in the same colors as the card. The smaller of the two I plan to write a little something for the mother that I am giving it to and the other I made as a bookmark for her. I attached the blue bayou double stitch ribbon with a staple and used the corner rounder punch on each insert.

A Thank You Card!

This is a Thank You card that I created using Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge #43 (WSC43). Love her challenges!!!

I made this card for a fellow blogger, Mercy over at Lord Have Mercy, because I won some fantastic blog candy from her. Check out her blog! She does some fantastic work! All products are from Stampin' Up! except for the little rhinestones that are from KaiserCraft and the embossing folder from Provo Craft for the Cuttlebug. I used whisper white, pretty in pink, and barely banana card stock. I used my pretty in pink, barely banana markers, and the flower from the So Much set to create the background for this card. For the pretty in pink strip, I first used my corner rounder to create the scalloped edged, then I dry embossed it using the Birds and Swirls embossing folder in my Sizzix machine. (I do not have a Cuttlebug!) For the next part of the card, I cut out my layers, rounded two of the corners with the corner rounder, and then glued them together. I Then punched out a scallop circle out of both barely banana and pretty in pink with the scallop circle punch. I stamped the Thank you from the Much Appreciated set in pretty in pink. Then I punched it out using the 1 3/8 circle punch and layered that on top of the scalloped circles. For a final touch I added two pink rhinestones that I won from the blog candy to the corners!

Bloomin' Beautiful Clock

I needed a new clock! What better way to get exactly what I want then to stamp it! And it was pretty easy...well for the most part! My kids wanted to stamp too, so it took a little longer then planned to create it! But I can not deny my kids the chance to be creative!!! Especially when they want to stamp!!! I found an inexpensive clock at Walmart, which I took apart to stamp. All products are Stampin' Up! I stamped the flowers and the saying from the Bloomin' Beautiful set (from the Occasions Mini) onto whisper white card stock. The numbers are from a retired set called On the Edge Numbers. I used Black Stazon for all of the stamping. To place the images exactly where I wanted them, I used my Stamp-a-ma-jig. Then to color in the image and the numbers I used my blender pen, blue bayou, soft sky, wild wasabi, and close to cocoa classic ink pads.
I love the way it turned out!!! I really like the Bloomin' Beautiful set!!! So many possibilities! Thanks for looking and enjoy!!!
