Today was a busy day and I still had time to make two cards!!! It was my sister's high school graduation and my mom's birthday! We went to the graduation and to dinner to celebrate! I gave this card to my sister today! (I will share my mom's birthday card another day.) I thought the over all idea of a flower blooming was a great idea for a graduation card. I also followed along with the Ways to Use It Challenge (WT223) from Splitcoaststampers for this week. The challenge was to use TEXT on your project. I chose the definition for the text.
So my sisters' favorite colors are pink and orange, hence the color of the flower. The stamp set that I used for this card was Bloomin' Beautiful. I created the flower by first stamping it with Stazon Black several times on to watercolor paper. I colored the images with the watercolor pencils and an aqua painter. I then cut out one of the flowers so that I was able to layer it with dimensionals. I added dazzling diamonds with my two-way glue pen. The definition and the saying were stamped with Stazon Black ink. I added a clip from the Clips Assortment and tried a pretty in pink ribbon on it. I layered the main image on to basic black cs. The back layer is pink pirouette cs. I used Sweet Always dsp for the strip across and then added some whisper white scallops with the scallop edge punch. The flowers in the corner are from a punch that I got at Target a while ago and I added some clear rhinestones brads to them.
