I decided that I wanted to try another challenge! Splitcoast Stampers card sketch challenge (SC158) was to make a kick stand card. Here is my version! I thought a Valentine's card would be fun to create!
All products are from Stampin' Up! unless otherwise noted. I used one of my favorite sets from Stampin' Up!, Priceless! The dimensions of this card are 5 1/2" by 4 1/4". I started with whisper white cs for the base and stamped the swirls with pretty in pink. I sponged pretty in pink on the edges. I added close to cocoa and pretty in pink, which was scalloped by the corner rounde, to the top. Then I decided that it need ribbon...so I pulled out the double circle punch to add some pink ribbon that I bought from Michael's. Then I started on the "kick stand" part of the card. I cut off part of the front of the card and rounded the corners. I used the same colors of cs to create the kick stand. I also stamped several hearts, cut them out with the paper snips (they make cutting little things easier for me) and added dazzling diamonds with the 2-way glue pen. I used dimensionals to attach the hearts onto the scalloped square from I punched out from the Marvy Uchida punch series. Then I placed that onto pretty in pink cs with rounded corners and a place that onto the card. I added a sheet of close to cocoa to the inside of the card!
I love the color combination. Oh yeah and I also used the saying from A Beautiful Thing that I just got yesterday!!! Have a great day!
